MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS
WITH OTHER WOMEN

TRANSFORM YOUR GRIEF WITH MEANING MAKING EXPERIENCES IN NATURE

When you           grief support we're here to help:
need

Grief is a journey you don't have to do alone. Let us help connect you with a community of women, who are also grieving, as well as have support from a grief professional, who can assist you in processing through your experiences and help honor your loved one.

Grief is shaped by the relationship you have with your loved one, let us help you navigate all the emotions and thoughts you may be experiencing. Whether the death of your loved one occurred years ago or several months ago, grief never ends. We are here to meet you where you are.

Grief causes bodily pain and discomfort. Let us help your body express its story of loss and resolve some of that pain through hiking, mindfulness practices, and yoga.

Learn ways to manage your grief during our content time. You will receive helpful skills, engage in creative expression, and learn helpful grief rituals to honor the death of your loved one.

"Each person's grief is as unique as their fingerprint. But what everyone has in common is that no matter how they grieve, they share a need for their grief to be witnessed."
                                      -David Kessler

FAQ

If I book with a friend, does that reduce the cost?

Booking with a friend does not reduce the price due to cost of accomodations, meals, activities, etc per person

If I come alone will it be awkward?

What fitness level do I need to have?

For the hikes, if you can walk on uneven terrain for 3-5 miles, going at a leisure pace, with pauses and breaks, you will be fine! The yoga is also at a leisure pace and you may pause, take breaks, and use adjustments at any time your body is suggesting you need it.

Not at all! We will have a pre-retreat Zoom call to help everyone meet and begin initial connections. We will pair you with another solo traveler as well for your accommodations (unless you choose a solo cabin) so you can make a new friend!

What is the closest Airport?

Asheville airport is the closest at 37 miles away and less than an hour drive. Charlotte airport is 103 miles away and a 2 hour drive.

If I am coming with a friend, can we request shared accomodations?

We make every effort to acknowledge requests for shared accomodations. When registering you will be asked to state who you would like to room with. If we are unable to accomodate the request, we will notify you. Please email afayak@healitinthewild.com prior to registering if this is a non-negotiable for you.

What if I need to cancel?

What should I bring?

You will be given a packing list ahead of the retreat with everything you need to bring.

*** Any further questions please feel free to email afayak@healitinthewild.com or call 757-279-8870***
